THREE TOWNSHIP VACANCIES- Parks and Rec Board, WESA Representative and Planning Dept Alternate
The Township is currently looking to fill three vacancies, one position on the Union Township Parks and Recreation Board, one position on the West Elizabeth Sanitary Authority Board and one position as the Planning Department Alternate. MOVE OVER, SLOW DOWN
PA’s Move Over Law required drivers approaching an emergency response area to pass at a speed no more than 20 mph less than the posted speed limit and reasonable for safely passing. An emergency response area is where an emergency vehicle has its lights flashing, or where road crews or emergency responders have light flares, posted signs, or try to warn travelers.
Donations & Volunteers Needed for Horses with Hope
Horses with Hope is a local organization dedicated to using equine interactions and activities to improve the physical, mental, emotional and social quality of life for the region’s children, youth and adults with physical and behavioral needs.
AS A RESULT OF THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC AND IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE DECLARATIONS AND ORDERS ISSUED BY THE UNITED STATES FEDERAL GOVERNMENT, THE GOVERNOR OF THE COMMONWEALTH OF PENNSYLVANIA AND UPON THE RECOMMENDATION OF THE PENNSYLVANIA EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY (PEMA), THE CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF UNION TOWNSHIP, WASHINGTON COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA, HEREBY DECLARES A DISASTER AND/OR STATE OF EMERGENCY WITHIN THE TOWNSHIP PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF SECTION 7501 OF THE PENNSYLVANIA EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT SERVICES CODE, 35 C.S.A. §7101 ET SEQ.
Beginning January 12, 2021, the JVS Environmental Electronics Collection Facility will open the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month from 2 pm – 6 pm and will be accepting televisions and computer equipment only. Click here for more details!
