Deduct Meter - Union Township has a deduct meter available for rent to all residents, which enables customers to realize a savings for water that does not enter the sewage system. The meter is only permitted to be attached to outside hose bibs (faucets). The most common use is for residents filling up swimming pools.
You can rent the deduct meter from the Township Building after filling out the appropriate rental agreement and leaving a $150.00 security deposit check with the Township Secretary. Upon return and proper reading of meter, the $150.00 will be returned to renter. You will be permitted to use the meter for no more than 3 days so that other residents may have their turn at using the meter.
Readings will then be forwarded to your specific sewage company (PCSA, WESA or Union Township) and will be included on your sewage billing.
