Notice to Bidders

SECTION 1 NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by Union Township, 3904 Finleyville-Elrama Road, Finleyville, PA 15332 until Monday, March 13, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. prevailing time for the “2017 Garvin Road: Dirt, Gravel, And Low Volume Road Maintenance Project.” The bid envelope must be labeled as “2017 Garvin Road: Dirt, Gravel, And Low Volume Road Maintenance Project.” The bids will be publicly open and read aloud Monday, March 13, 2017, that same day, at 7:00pm during the public meeting of the Union Township Board of Supervisors. Bid documents are available at the Project Engineer’s Office, Harshman CE Group LLC, 100 Courson Hill Road, Washington, PA 15301, upon payment of a non-refundable fee of $25.00 for each set of documents. Bid documents will not be mailed.
A bid security in the form of a certified check or bid bond drawn to the order of Union Township executed by the bidder and the surety company, satisfactory to the Township, in an amount equal to ten (10%) percent of the total bid amount must be submitted with the bid proposal. All proposals shall be submitted in accordance with the instructions to bidders contained in the bid documents. Union Township hereby reserves the right, which is understood and agreed to by all bidders, to reject any or all bids submitted; and also reserves the right to waive any informalities in the bids received. Bids may be held by Union Township of a period not to exceed thirty (30) days from the date of bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of Bidders, prior to awarding the contract.
